We finally got round to holding the £700 cheque! Again thankyou to all who attended our FISHATHON to raise money for East Anglia's Children Hospice. We feel very proud to have helped and look forward to it being even bigger next year. ❤️

STAFF VACANCIES to join our East Bilney Family 🙂
🎣Additional Staff member required for front of house at our Lakeside Cafe, East Bilney Lakes, Dereham.
Experience preferred within the hospitality sector but training will be given.

🎣We are also requiring a part time Chef ideally with an interest in Fishing as other duties can include Fishery maintenance.
A school/ college leaver with an interest in Catering would be preferred.

Yesterday was Aaron Ayer's Memorial Match, a lovely young Angler who loved East Bilney Lakes and was one of our regular match Anglers. Sadly Aaron was taken too soon.
We started the day with breakfast, the Peg draw and a minutes silence at Aaron's Memorial bench which now sits behind where he sadly passed away.
45 Anglers showed their support for Aaron's family and we finished off the day with a BBQ, a raffle and presentation of the Memorial trophy of which will now be an annual match.
The amount raised was £1000 to buy a defibrillator to have on site.
Most of all, Neil, Carol, Ross, Sue, Bella and the family/ friends now have a place to come and sit and spend time being close to Aaron.
Aaron's dad Neil sent this message to us, showing just how much yesterday meant. ❤️

Hi everyone. I just wanted to thank every single one of you who attended the Aaron Ayers memorial fishing match yesterday. Though it was emotional at times, it was heartwarming to actually see how many turned up. Aaron would have been so proud. Your generosity was amazing and the money raised really superb. The kindness and compassion shown to me and family was truly outstanding. It was again great to see Kevin and an absolute honour to finally meet Amy. Both of which are my heroes and will always have a special place in my heart. I would also like to say the biggest thanks ever to Lee and Lisa who have been absolutely outstanding throughout all of this and made this event so special.
You all are truly special people to me.

Thankyou so much to everyone who attended and all that provided the raffle prizes. We look forward to having you back next year.

Much love to Aaron's family, we felt it was a privilege to be able to host and support such a lovely family.

Lee and I had such a great corporate day yesterday for Jewsons Builders Merchants.
Our team delivered a fantastic bespoke package with breakfast, Fishing Match; followed by our BBQ under the Pergola and selection of homemade cakes to follow.
Jewsons' raised a fabulous amount of money for a little boy needing a new wheelchair to support his health needs.

Our Celebrity guests Jimmy Bullard and James Wade enjoyed their fishing and were a pleasure to have here; great atmosphere and everyone coming together to support their local business.
Lee and I look forward to our Fishing Podcasts 'lets go fishing babe' starting later this year as Jimmy is one of our Celebrity guests...
Such lovely guys who really loved the venue and support the sport of Fishing 🙏
