Introducing Our General Manager at The Bubble!

Our GM brings over two years of experience with Bespoke Inns and a fascinating hospitality journey spanning kitchens, pubs, and hotels.

He began his career as a chef, working in Michelin-starred restaurants and hotels, where he had the opportunity to meet many celebrities, including Harrison Ford. After his time in the kitchen, he moved into management, building extensive experience across pubs and hotels throughout the country.

Before joining us, he managed The Bell Inn in the famous village of Stilton, which gave its name to Stilton cheese. The village is also known for its annual cheese-rolling tradition, which continues to this day.

We’re delighted to have him leading the team at The Bubble and look forward to the experience, knowledge, and passion he brings to our guests every day.

Tutbury Castle Update from Bespoke Inns
Last week, two of our directors were delighted to attend a Tutbury Parish Council meeting, where we had the opportunity to present our plans for Tutbury Castle alongside the Duchy of Lancaster.
We were genuinely blown away by the support from the local community and incredibly grateful for the constructive feedback shared on our early ideas and plans. The passion and pride for this historic site was clear, and it reinforced just how important Tutbury Castle is to Staffordshire and beyond. While renovation works continue at the Castle under the stewardship of the Duchy of Lancaster, restoring this iconic monument,Bespoke Inns is working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything is ready to move forward as soon as those works are complete. Our shared goal is simple: to see Tutbury Castle reopened to the public as soon as possible.
We know there’s a huge appetite for more detail, and while some elements are still subject to timelines outside of our control, we wanted to share a few of the key themes raised at the meeting:

1. Public Access
Ensuring strong and inclusive public access to the Castle and its stunning surroundings will be a core priority for us. This will include access for walkers, café and restaurant visitors, families and more. We are also busy planning a range of exciting events to complement Tutbury’s already thriving local community.

2. Working with Local Businesses
We are keen to work with as many local businesses as possible, helping to drive additional footfall and opportunity into the area. We’ve already been contacted by some fantastic local operators and are working through responses as quickly as we can. If you haven’t heard from us yet — you will soon!

3. Recruitment
We’ve been completely bowled over by the interest in working with us at Tutbury Castle. While we’re not yet able to confirm timelines or specific roles, we encourage everyone interested to keep an eye on our social channels for updates — we’ll share opportunities as soon as they’re confirmed.

We’ll continue to share updates as plans progress, so please follow our to stay in the loop. Thank you again to everyone who has shown support — we’re excited for what lies ahead for Tutbury Castle.
