We're looking for an amazing person to join our fantastic team. Do you have what we're looking for?
We are an extremely busy village cafe looking for a kitchen assistant/cook. Hours are negotiable but you must be available to work weekends as well as during the week as we are open 7 days between the hours of 8.30 and 4pm. A certain level of fitness is required as this is a physically active role.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is desirable. Responsibilities would include cooking to order of breakfasts and lunches. Food preparation such as making salads, sandwiches and sandwich fillings, quiches, soups, scones etc. You would have responsibility for stock rotation, ordering and food safety. Some front of house (greeting customers, answering phone enquiries, making and serving hot and cold drinks, serving cakes, cleaning, using the till etc) would be required also.
We would offer prospective employees a paid trial shift so please only apply if you would be able to attend in the next 6 weeks.
