Bitter sweet day at The Golden Eagle.
We bid farewell to Tim and Anna who have been the beating heart of The Golden Eagle over the last 7 and half years.
What they have created is a very special and unique real ale pub where everyone is welcomed.
Today is also the day Sade and Amy take over the reins and hope to carry on the legacy.
Over the coming months, there will be some small improvements plus watch out for live music under the stairs on Saturday nights from November!
The new landlords will be behind the bar tonight if you want to pop in and say hi plus the fantastic Starscreen will be playing Under the Stairs tonight from 8.30 😊

Wow! What a week it has been! We truly feel the love and have enjoyed every moment. The same goes for the last seven and a bit years. We leave with a gigantic number of new, dear friends and an exceeding number of memorable moments that will make us smile and giggle for years to come. We’re still at the Eagle today if you happen to be around. And the good times will continue with the amazing Amy and Sade, kicking off with Starscreen tomorrow evening! xx

This is it – the plan for our, Anna and Tim's, final week as your landlords!
We kick things off on Wednesday 23rd with Record Rendezvous, followed by The Skarantinos Official under the stairs on Thursday.
Then on Saturday 26th, The Sugar Tree gets things started at 5pm, followed by DJ Carl Kaotic keeping us dancing afterwards. And on our very last day, Wednesday 30th, there’ll be some sensible drinking from start to finish.
After more than seven years at the Eagle, you’ve become more than customers – you’re our friends and our community. ❤️ There’s a bit of everything in our final week, so hopefully we’ll see most of you for drinks and salutations!
New landladies will also be around if you need to introduce yourselves (very unlikely, though...) xx

📣 CHANGE OF LANDLORDS! 📣

September will be our final month as captains of the Eagle!

But worry not — we have some very exciting news. We’re delighted to introduce you to your new landladies… although they certainly won’t need much introduction! You already know them very well from behind the bar: the lovely Amy and Sade! ❤️

We know the Eagle will be in very good hands, and we’re so pleased to be handing over the reins to two familiar faces.

And as for us, Anna and Tim — we’re not disappearing quietly! There will be parties at the end of the month (yes, plural! 🥳) so we can see you all, have a drink or several, and say a proper goodbye before we go.
