O U R L A S T W E E K

Today marks the day of our last working week 😢

Looking back on the most beautiful memories that were made 7 years ago when we first opened, makes me realise how far we have come and what a staple part of the community this shop really is!

Our regular customers have already started a petition to keep it open 🤣

I am potentially looking at selling my business and signing my lease over to someone else, so if anyone is seriously interested in creating the special memories that I have created with my family, friends and the community then please get in touch with me on email

O U R L A S T D A Y X

Our last working day will be Saturday 28th October and we would love to invite our regular customers & previous staff to join us for a glass of fizz and to toast a successful 7 years! 3pm - 4pm 🥂

Katherine’s would not be possible with out the teams we have had over the years and also our regular clients who have kept us busy every day!

C L O S I N G D O W N

We have had the most incredible 7 years but the time has now come for us to close 😢

This has been something I have been thinking about for a while now but I am now ready to close my doors.

Our last day will be Sunday 29th October so you have until then to use any Gift vouchers or loyalty cards you may have.

I know people will say are you mad, you are busy every day, but unfortunately that does not pay the bills and I can’t continue on.

With the increase in overheads I physically can’t afford to carry on & we don’t even have the heating on yet 🤣

When I viewed my shop 7 years ago I had no children and dedicated every part of my life to this shop including sacrificing my relationship, working 7 days a week which ultimately couldn’t be saved but now since having my son Brooks I am not willing to do that again and he will come first! That means me having a better work life balance and not sitting at night doing emails, messages and everything else that goes into running a small business! If you are in the industry you will understand it never stops!

Since opening Katherine’s it has been the best experience I have ever had and the team members I have had over the years are truly why we were so successful!

To our regular customers we will miss you all so much & I would like to thank you personally for always supporting my business.

My amazing friends and family are another reason why Katherines has also done so well and I want to thank you all for supporting my dream.

For those of you that don’t know I am a co owner of and it is now time for me to focus on the next bigger chapter there. I look forward to seeing you all there which I regularly do anyway. 👍🏼

The ones who support me you know who you are and thank you.

This isn’t goodbye it’s see you soon 😉X

Iv finally stopped crying 😢

You have both been fantastic and I couldn’t be prouder of you both! We will all miss you so much!

Hannah you have worked for me for 7 years and I have seen you grow into an incredible young women!

Love you both lots and thank you for all your hard work over the years Xx

We are currently on the look out for 2 incredible people to join our team.

Hannah who has worked at Katherines since she was 14 Graduated from to become a teacher this week and we couldn’t be prouder of her. Xx

And Ella is leaving to start her Dance degree in Birmingham so unfortunately she can’t continue to work part time! We are going to miss them so much! Xx

So we are currently looking for 2 school leavers who need a part time job.
The applicants must be hard working, enthusiastic and ready to learn!

Since we opened 7 years ago this year!! We have served the creamiest soft serve ice cream in Derby! And we can do any flavour!!! We also use our soft serve to make the thickest milkshakes that are truly incredible.
