Built in 1650 it was once considered to be one of the most prestigious Inns outside of London. Set in the heart of Derby’s historic Cathedral Quarter, we offer a unique eatery with drinks galore in stunning surroundings. Having recently undergone an extensive restoration, our beautiful interiors with many original features, make The Old Bell a great pub, meeting place and event venue. Whether enjoying the sun in our Historic courtyard or sitting by a roaring fire in our Tudor Bar on a cold winters night there is something for everyone at The Old Bell.

Here's two classics to finish our Oktoberfest keg lineup.
Löwenbräu Original is a historic Helles l***r brewed by one of the six historic Munich breweries.
Benediktiner Weissbier is a traditional German wheat b**r brewed following the recipe of Benedictine monks.

See you all tomorrow to begin the festival! All b**rs will be available from opening time, with the ballroom opening its doors from 6, followed by the ceremonial tapping of the Oktoberfest barrel!

We have Zehn and Heff joining Lukas this weekend.
Zehn is a 6% Festbier brewed especially for Oktoberfest, while Heff is a perfectly balanced German style Wheat B**r! Lukas, a crisp and refreshing Helles L***r is ever present at The Old Bell and is the perfect sessionable option this weekend!

As Oktoberfest week begins at The Old Bell, it’s time to reveal another b**r from our fantastic line-up!
Klarheit from Derby’s is a crisp German-style Pilsner, bringing another Bavarian-inspired local b**r to the bar.
It joins traditional Oktoberfest b**rs brewed in Munich, creating a brilliant balance of Bavarian classics and locally brewed takes on German styles.

That means another b**r reveal. Porch Life from the fantastic will provide something different to our Oktoberfest selection, a German style wheat b**r on the hand pulls - the best of both worlds!
