There is going to be a massive semi and we are going to be going in and out and size is everything.

We wanted to do everything possible to make the game available. We tried the projector last night with a 2nd gazebo and then brought a 3rd gazebo along tonight but the plan D was to just buy a massive TV.

Sadly the 85 inch was out of stock but we have gone and bought a 75 inch beauty and put it on a bracket. It is a Q Mini LED so the brightest around.

The game will now be on inside and out and we won't be requiring tickets. I'd recommend getting in early because we still expect both to be busy.

The Crossbar is your home of football but more importantly it is our community pub and this has only been possible with a great effort from various helpers.

The biggest thanks goes to Lee Wynne for being the hero for collecting and fitting the TV but also all of the following for helping with gazebo building. Mark Cooper, Lee Warren and Will Schofield. Thank you it was a real community coming together.

Let's roar England home now so we can use the new TV again on Sunday night.

Ticket or not ticket?

It is the big question that everyone is asking.....the answer is that we still don't know.

We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy it with us because so many will miss out due to the number that have supported this world cup with us so we have not given up on the outdoor screen yet.

We have already bought and tried 1 gazebo that didn't work and we have tried exploring building a more robust wooden solution but time just isn't going to be our friend to get that done. Tonight we will try another gazebo at 8pm to test if it can work.

We will then know if we have to move to a ticket approach and limit the number to those that have watched the most amount of games with us so far. That is going to be really difficult to do and many will miss out so we are trying everything to avoid it but ultimate we just can't fit everyone in.

It has been a brilliant World Cup already and we have loved how many of you have been getting in bright and early because you wanted to be part of the action at your home of football.

What a night!!!

It was the middle of the night and the place was still packed out.

Thank you to everyone that came to watch it with us. The delay didn't ruin the atmosphere, it was brilliant again.

Good luck to everyone that is working today, i am not convinced that I am sober yet.

Big, huge, massive thanks to Tom and James for working in the middle of the night to keep you all hydrated, the effort goes way beyond pouring the drinks and those hours were a big ask.

It is still coming home again. I am not saying we have got carried away already but wristbands have been ordered for the semi final and the final to be all ticket today.

Let's make history and memories together.

When we bring the World Cup home future generations will ask about the time you saw us beat Mexico in the Azteca. No one will remember watching it at 1am at home or sleeping through it. Everyone will remember the time that they went to The Crossbar and watched a 1am world cup victory on the road to glory.

Football is always better watched with others and always better at Chellaston's home of football ⚽️

Emily chose Chilli and chips with a pink gin and lemonade for her favourite things. Very good choices indeed. Emily come and collect your voucher (with some ID please)
