Apna Punjab Derby Pub & Restaurant Apna Punjab was Derby's first Indian/Desi pub. Propertier Sarbjit Singh Takhar has over 25 years experience as a chef.

After leaving the Sohni Mehiwaal in the 80s Sarbjit started his own restaurant in Leicestershire. In the mid 90s Apna Punjab formerly known as Peartree Tavern was the next venture. In the late 90s Apna Punjab opened and started serving Indian food. In the early 2000s Apna Punjab began serving food for large weddings throughout the Midlands and became Derby's main wedding caterers.
