An update regarding the website. Our Outlet Stores and the Denby Pottery Village remain open at the moment so please do pop in if you need us. ❤️

Firstly, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you for being part of our online community. Whether you've shopped with us over the years or simply spent time browsing our collections and learning about our pottery, your support has meant so much to all of us.

It is with great sadness that, following Denby entering administration, www.denbypottery.com is no longer accepting online orders.

If you have already placed an order with us, please be assured that our warehouse team is working incredibly hard to fulfil all existing orders. Following the unprecedented demand of recent months, we appreciate your patience while these are processed. The website will remain accessible for the time being, where we will continue to share any updates regarding our stores.

If you were hoping to add to your Denby collection, our outlet stores remain open, where you'll find savings of at least 50% across our ranges, while stocks last.

Our website has been Denby's online home for many years, giving us the opportunity to share not only our Made in England collections, but also the craftsmanship, heritage and stories behind our brand and connect with customers across the UK and around the world.

💔 The End of an Era at Denby Makers Market 💔

This Sunday marks the final ever Denby Makers Market at Denby Pottery Village, and emotions are running high.

For years, our markets have brought together hundreds of incredible independent makers, artists, food producers and small businesses, while welcoming thousands of visitors who have supported local talent and helped create something truly special.

What started as a market became a community. Friendships were formed, businesses grew, and countless memories were made.
While Denby Pottery Village remains open, this Sunday will be the last market held at the venue.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the fantastic team at Denby Pottery Village for their support over the years, and to every trader, customer and visitor who has been part of our journey.

Join us one last time this Sunday and help us give Denby Makers Market the send-off it deserves.

We have had a few questions due to Google showing us as 'permanently closed'. We are working to update this information but we wanted to reassure customers that the Pottery Village is open as normal at the moment. Usual hours apply.

We have now reached 100,000+ signatures on our ‘Support the Ceramics Industry and protect British manufacturing jobs and skills’ petition which means that this will be considered for debate in parliament. The petition calls for the government to consider offering relief on the high energy bills required to make ceramics in the UK.

Whilst Denby’s position is sadly unchanged, this outcome could make a difference for our fellow potteries and acknowledges the importance of our shared heritage and skills, offering hope for the future of manufacturing ceramics in this country.

To everyone who has signed, thank you. We are proud of Denby’s history and pleased that this step can be part of its legacy.

Yesterday, on the same site where our pottery began 217 years ago, the final pieces of Denby made their way to the kiln for firing. Centuries of making pottery at Denby may be coming to a close, but the love and soul poured into each piece will live on. In the memories of our skilled craftspeople, in the feel-good moments our loyal collectors enjoy with their Denby, both here and around the world, and in the hearts of the whole community who have stood together and tried their hardest to in our hour of need. Of course, there will definitely be Denby in many peoples’ homes for years to come, it was always made to last after all…

Denby would not have been able to continue for this long without generations of dedicated, skilled people, from the kilns to customers’ homes and all the pairs of hands in between, thank you to every member of staff, past and present, for playing your part in taking care of this piece of history. The future is always uncertain and whilst it’s hard to comprehend what things may look like in the next weeks and months, we are so hugely proud of everything this Derbyshire pottery has achieved, it's not and has never just been about the pots.
