As part of the Warm Welcome scheme, you can come into the Déda café bar and spend time in a warm and friendly space to help save on heating bills.

We have a children’s play area, an exhibition in the café and around the building, free Wi-Fi, board games, and friendly staff on hand.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, from 10am until 6pm, we are offering free hot and cold drinks and a free meal to those who need it. If you are struggling with heating bills or food bills, we can help you access support with these too.

Plus on Wednesdays and Thursdays, you can donate produce toward our free soup which is offered on these days, so there is something for you most days of the week if needed.

We are delivering this service with support from Community Action Derby, Presentation Design Services, and Amazon, as well as our dedicated staff team.

Déda's is giving everyone this winter a huge warm space welcome! There is no reason to go cold or hungry this winter because we have a free warm meal and drinks waiting for you at Déda café bar every Tuesday and Friday between 10am and 6pm throughout January, February and March. On top of that on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes (11.30am to 2pm) we have Donation Pot Soup all lovely warm, comforting and nutritious, and yes... completely free, or if you can afford it, a donation (courtesy of local community gifts of fruit and vegetables).

Look who was spotted outside the café bar today. So kind of Santa to give a piggy back to a local office party goer that had over done it a bit! What a star!

We are going to be closed during Christmas as normal and will not be reopening out doors until Tuesday 10 January as our café team will be busy cooking in the community. We would like to thank you for all your custom and support during the year and hope you have a joyous and prosperous new year!
