After long deliberation, I have made the difficult decision to shut the cafe permanently.

At the beginning of this year we made some major changes to try and manage the challenges that have previously caused us to close. However, as the demand has grown beyond what we are capable of offering, as a small, family run business, it has taken a toll on all areas of my life.

Whilst having had the pleasure of serving fantastic customers and enjoying a real sense of community, running the cafe from my home has now become too challenging.

It saddens me deeply to be closing as every week I rekindle old relationships and forge new ones hence this being such a difficult decision.

Thank you to everyone for every visit, every kind word and every bit of support.

Our lovely cat was killed on the road outside our house by The Green Room in Lockington at around 7.45pm on Friday.
Unfortunately the driver didn’t stop so if you have information please let me know.

It is with a heavy heart I must share that this week we had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl, Lottie.
She had been poorly for a while and it became clear that her condition had deteriorated to the point that we had to make the almost impossible decision to let her go.
Our family is devastated and it will take us a lot of time to come to terms with her no longer being here with us.
For the people who knew Lottie, you will understand how difficult this is for us. For those of you who didn't meet her - She was the best dog in the whole world.
Lottie was a very kind, gentle soul and was gracious enough to welcome guests and their dogs into her garden when we opened The Green Room.
She was a very special girl and we will always remember her beautiful sense of humour and the unconditional love she gave us.
Understandably, I am heartbroken and need some time to come to terms with her no longer being here.
Whilst we will be open as usual this weekend for hot drinks, cakes and pastries, our main menu will be reduced significantly.

Lovely weather!!!🤪 we have a temporary enclosed, waterproof covering for our new gazebo until the permanent roof goes on this week. So plenty of covered seating 👍🏻

NOTICE!
The Green Room is NOT open this weekend: Friday 11th - Monday 14th October.
We are currently in the process of construction and refurbishment.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be ready to open tomorrow Friday 11th as planned.
We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to our reopening on Friday 18th October
