How many men does it take to get two massive olive trees onto the roof?

Three. Apparently.

We knew they were big. We just hadn’t quite appreciated what getting these monsters up two flights of stairs would involve. Thankfully, Aaron and the lads had the muscle to get the job done.

Dave, meanwhile, was busy chewing his nails and eating a Crunchie. Every team needs a supervisor.

They’re finally up on the roof, and it’s looking good. That Friday feeling.

A VERY LORENZO CHRISTMAS

The designs are drawn. The bows are ordered. The baubles are multiplying at an alarming rate.

This Christmas, Lorenzo will be dressed in billowing red velvet, burgundy baubles, enormous bows, lavish tassels and a pair of nutcrackers keeping a very close eye on the bar.

The team from will arrive in mid-November to turn these plans into reality and make Lorenzo fully festive.

Add a new festive menu, Christmas cocktails, candlelight, fabulous company and just the right amount of beautiful excess.

Whether it’s a festive date night, the annual family gathering, Christmas with friends or the work do that nobody discusses again until February, Lorenzo is the place to be.

Then, fingers crossed, finish the night upstairs at the Up2 rooftop bar—unless somebody has beaten you to it and privately hired the whole place.

Take a look from above… Lorenzo and UP² are starting to glow.

The new lighting is in, tested and ready to roll. We’re just waiting on the festoons now — even our snow leopard knows a place needs a finishing touch.

Denton is on the UP², and we’re still hoping for Halloween for the grand switch-on. Keep everything crossed — preferably under the new lights. Massive thanks to for the fabulous footage xx

LET’S TAKE A LOOK INTO THE WORLD OF UP²…

These images offer a glimpse of where we are now—and the transformation set to unfold over the next six weeks as we create Denton’s newest rooftop destination.

A place for date nights, private parties, functions, exclusive events, long lunches, late nights and those celebrations that somehow begin with “just a couple” and finish with somebody’s Aunty Brenda dancing beneath the retractable roof.

And then comes Christmas 2026.

We’re planning a fabulous festive season up on the roof, with wine-tasting evenings, live music, opera nights, Christmas events, private celebrations, festive food, winter cocktails and plenty of fun and frolics.

Whether it’s your works party, family gathering, birthday, anniversary, baby shower or simply an excuse to dress up and disappear upstairs for the evening—UP² is being created to do it all.

Warm lights. Winter sunsets. Fabulous drinks. Great food. Beautiful interiors. A rooftop filled with Christmas magic.

The next six weeks will see UP² completely transformed.

YES… YOU GUESSED IT.

That tiny pumpkin wasn’t there by accident.

All being well with our final checks, UP² will open its doors for the very first time on Halloween night — Saturday 31 October.

After a very long wait, the rooftop is almost ready to come alive. And honestly, what better night to begin?

But you won’t have to wait until Halloween to see us again.

Lorenzo will reopen at the beginning of October — and it’s returning completely transformed. A new interior, new chefs, a brand-new autumn menu and a whole new atmosphere.

Think autumn trees filled with pumpkins, spectacular seasonal installations, skeletons, Halloween details and a new collection of autumn and Halloween cocktails.

Lorenzo will begin the celebrations, before UP² takes Halloween night to a whole new level.

October in Denton is looking up.
