Hope & Lane is an independent and locally-owned coffee shop on Deal's busy High Street, with a lovely mix of locals, regulars, visitors and holiday makers.
We are searching for our next Assistant Manager. Here's what we're looking for. If this sounds like you, please email us using the address shown in the picture.
Experience & Skills:
☕Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in a café setting.
☕Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise the team and provide support to management.
☕Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
☕Confident with cash handling and till operations.
☕Able to manage daily operations, including opening and closing duties.
☕Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and allergen procedures.
☕Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.
Personal Qualities:
☕Reliable, organised, and proactive.
☕Positive attitude with a hands-on approach.
☕Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
☕High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining café standards.
☕Ability to motivate and support the team to ensure consistency.
Availability:
☕Flexible to work weekdays and weekends.
☕Punctual and committed to maintaining consistent attendance.
Additional Requirements:
☕Highly trained barista skills (training can be provided if needed).
☕Must be local to Deal.
☕Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Hours & Benefits:
☕20+ hours per week.
☕Paid breaks and bonus week.
Weekly pay.
☕Wage to be disclosed at interview.
