Eat and Mess Artisan bakery based in Deal. Award winning bespoke cakes & baked goods across East Kent & London. Welcome to Eat and Mess! Peace and loaf. E&M x

We are a neighbourhood bakery based in Deal, Kent owned by pastry chef Kate Ampomah. Trading since 2014, Kate previously worked in top bakeries in London and San Francisco before setting up her own bakery and workshop. We are a small but dedicated team of professionals and cake lovers, and we bake fresh every day for a range of trade and private customers. You can order via our website, but we also love a cake chat so please do get in touch if you would like something particular. You can also pick up our bakery goods each Saturday from Deal Town Market. Flours are organic and we prefer a range of heritage grains for maximum flavour. Butter is organic and our eggs are fresh and free range from local farmers. We use seasonal flavours and ingredients alongside our fresh floral decorations, inspired by the beach and country surroundings.

Wedding season may be getting quieter but it certainly isn’t over yet! A gorgeous setup over at The_Vines_Rochester for an Autumnal wedding. Foraged pine cones and conkers by the bride and groom nestled alongside a selection of vegan cupcakes, gluten free millionaires, classic chocolate brownies and raspberry blondies. Perched on top was a lemon poppyseed cutting cake with vanilla Swiss. P.s the venue was STUNNING. Highly recommend a visit to Rochester! 🍂🍁✨

We absolutely loved creating this beautiful rainbow and floral design for Penelope.

A last minute cake order from last week- sure we can squeeze another one in! Vegan Autumn inspired cake with chocolate fudge insides, fondant mushrooms, dried citrus and fresh figs. Cuuuuute! And also ps love when we are given creative licence for the brief! 🍁🍂🍃

Top tip- Always call if you need a cake quick sharp, as when I’m in the bakery, the emails don’t get checked too quickly!
