We’re listening… From tonight, and available to purchase in store or for home delivery, we now have Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Rosé and Prosecco available in full sized bottles at just £10 each.

We are delighted to announce that from this evening, we will be stocking Blakes of Northbourne Chardonnay.

After spending the last 9 months on oak, it’s finally ready to be enjoyed — and we can’t wait for you to try it. 🤍🍇

If you’d like to get your hands on it, it's £32 per bottle, and available in store, or for home delivery.

Blakes of Northbourne is a marvellous local vineyard located just a few miles away in the tranquil village of Northbourne. We've already enjoyed their previous batch of Rose wine which was delicious and we can't wait to try this one!

According to a poll on Reddit, the most popular accompaniment with chips here is Curry Sauce, but over the past few months people have been quietly asking if we can offer ‘chippy sauce’ usually found in and around Edinburgh (you’ll see it coloured in Blue on the map).

We’re delighted to announce that we’re bringing chippy sauce to Deal 🙌🥳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Available from this Thursday, at no additional cost and made with the exact same traditional ingredients (we’ve had them shipped down from Scotland) as you’ll find in Edinburgh!

We’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and with Irn Bru in stock, you can get a taste of the traditional Scottish fish supper on the Kent coast.

This week, we are back frying the wonderful tasting Sagitta variety of potato (those new potatoes don't last long :( )

Potato crops are seasonal, and there are a number of changes throughout the year.

The Sagitta potato is popular and a versatile 'second early' main crop and produces an exceptional crispy, light coloured chips with lower starch content (and therefore lower 'darkening'). For potato nerds (just me?!), they have around a 21% dry matter content and are excellent for roasting, baking and boiling as well as making chips.

As always, they’re grown within 5 miles of our shop and we can trace the supply chain from field to plate (easily done as we buy directly from the farmer - who comes into the shop to sample his wares 😀).

Everything is cooked in vegetable oil, sourced from the UK, containing zero palm oils or additives.

This week, we are well stocked with Cod, Haddock, Plaice, Rock and Po***ck 🐟 (We've run out two weeks in a row meaning a long trip to go and source more!)
