🌞 Summer sucks for indoor venues. There's no secret about it.

The last 3 months have been *hell*.

The sunshine just hasn't let up, and it has absolutely had a direct effect on us as more people are choosing to spend their time outside.

That being said, our special events are selling better, and our little independent shop has done well since opening too!

We have a really fun and exciting change in the pipeline, too, which I can't wait to share more about when we are closer to being ready! 🧚‍♀️

As always, thank you to those who have continued to support through this ridiculously long spell of sunshine. It hasn't gone unnoticed, and we are so grateful for your custom 🫶🏼

From September 2026 our opening hours are changing slightly 🕑

We will be back open 7 days a week but we will no longer be running our Tuesday & Wednesday 2.30pm sessions.

As many of our regular customers will know (because I've no doubt chatted your ears off about it), my own little girl will be starting school in September 🏫

I left the Police to begin my own business venture specifically so that I can have more freedom and time to spend with my family. Whilst that has proved to still be somewhat of a challenge (shock), I absolutely want to be able to pick my daughter up from school as often as possible!

So in order to do that, we will be closing earlier on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

We will still have 19 play sessions running across the week, so there will still be plenty of opportunities and options for you and your littles to come and play! 🧚‍♀️

Thank you all for your continued support since our opening back in February. We hope to continue to see so many of you through our doors in the following months and years to come!

P.S.. something big is coming to The Storybook in the next few months. Keep your eyes peeled 👀

We have the amazing Wonder Studio joining us next Tuesday 11th at 9.30am and Monday 17th at 12pm for a fun filled craft and play session!

These crafts are suitable for ANYONE to get involved with. Adults, kids, older siblings.. there's a whole range of items to pick from and get crafty with!

Just over a week of the shop being in full bloom, here's how the shop has fared so far! 🌼

6 independent stockists + some of our own stock.
17 sales. Each sale is a victory for these small independent businesses.

The idea of our shop was always to be a place for small businesses to present their creations to the public without having to pay extortionate shop or market fees.

It was always important to us going into the idea of a little shop that these incredible independent small businesses thrived here. We take very little from the shop ourselves so that all of our stockists get the very most out of being stocked here.

So a massive thank you to all of the shops customers so far. You are truly supporting small businesses where every single sale is a genuine celebratory win for them.

🌼This week was SO fun!🌼

Animals 🐍 adorable letters 💌 birthday parties 🥳 allllll of the milkshakes and iced drinks 🧊 it has been one crazy busy week here at The Storybook!

Thank you all so much for keeping us so busy this week. It has been amazing to see both so many regular and new customers visit us! 🫶🏼

This coming week, we have a number of fun things planned for you all!
