Another year complete… hasn’t that flown by!
Earlier this week we completed another season at the Anchorstone- Clare’s 25th!🥂
Completing this season felt particularly special as it marked another milestone here at the cafe. We’ve tried alot of new things in 2026, most of them proving very successful! We launched new breakfast items which seemed to fly out most mornings, we introduced monthly evening special events like our Mussel evening, Spanish tapas evening and our Jambalaya evening with guest chef Nick! Throughout August, Friday nights were super busy with Takeaway Fish and Chips available for the village, and the addition of our new cocktail menu kept our customers sipping away in the sun! ⚓️
We’ve been superrr lucky with the weather we’ve had on the river this year. It’s allowed us to offer our balcony tables almost every day, accept more walk ins, have our marquee open for our customers to enjoy their meal the with best view possible and also sell a whole load of ice cream! ☀️
A massive thank you to everyone that visited us this year- whether it was just once or multiple times, every booking is thoroughly appreciated. 🦞
We celebrated last week watching the Moulin Rouge together, it’s amazing how working somewhere like this can bring you all together- we all cherish our job deeply and love where we work! Now we all go separate ways over winter, with some people going to university, some getting other seasonal jobs and for Clare, visiting Jasmine and Will in France- make sure you keep up to date with their journey and follow along all the amazing work that they do! ❤️
