After a really difficult couple of weeks, I'm back at work today.

We're open for business as usual, even if things will be a little bit different in terms of how we operate for the next few months.

Please bear with us while I catch up on enquiries or drop me an email / give me a call if there's anything you need!

Alix is doing brilliantly and we hope to have her home before this weekend.

We would like to reiterate our thanks for all the love and well wishes since the accident - we will try to reply to everyone individually in time! 😊

Calder’s Kitchen create award‑winning chutneys and piccalillis inspired by family recipes - bright, bold and perfect with cheese.
We stock a lovely selection of their jars, each one adding a little extra character to a cheeseboard or sandwich.

A brilliant local maker we’re proud to champion.

This is not a nice post to have to make, but we need to make a quick statement for our customers, suppliers and supporters:

On Sunday evening on our way home from Filey Food Festival we were hit head on by a car driving on the wrong side of the road.

We are ok but Alix has suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital awaiting further tests followed by surgery.

As such I have not been able to respond to enquiries, emails, anything related to the business and it may be a week or so before I’m back.

Our business remains open however and can function perfectly well without me (and we need to keep ticking over while I’m away).

Online orders are unaffected.
Trade orders for now theough our fabulous distributors - DM for contact details id you need them.

Incredible day doing a meet the maker at Lindisfarne Mead today, so thought I’d stop off for a fish & chips supper in Amble on my way home! And they are amazing! 🤩 🐟 🍟 😋
