It’s Saturdayyyyyyy, we’ve been waiting all week for it 🙌

🎉 3pm - Paul’s birthday party is kicking off with a DJ knocking out classic House tracks for that perfect garden party vibe. School’s Out is the theme so, school uniform/St Trinian’s is encouraged ☀️🍹🎵

⚽️ 10pm - We’re playing Norway in the World Cup Quarter Finals so we have some Vikings to send home 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇳🇴

🙌 In addition, we have our USUAL BAR & RESTAURANT service going on from 12-3pm & 5-9pm with more delicious specials added to this week’s menus.

We’ll have summer weather, cold drinks, stone-baked pizzas and live house music from our DJ.

Bar & kitchen open from noon. Birthday party starts at 3pm. Football starts at 10pm so, whatever you’re up for, we’ve got it all here

We don’t usually have an issue with no-shows but we had a table of 4 that didn’t turn up on Sunday and a table of 6 last night.

It’s not easy keeping a pub open these days and they’re closing down daily due to financial pressures. None of them can afford to turn away customers for tables to then sit empty, especially small ones such as ours.

In most cases, it’s possible to call and let us know if a table is no longer needed. Not doing so just isn’t cricket. So, as a reminder, we wrote a poem.

We don’t have many no-shows
In fact they’re very rare
But one on Sunday and today
Is more than we can bear

Our village pubs are precious
They’re there for one and all
So if you have a change of plan
It’s helpful if you call

If customers are turned away
Then tables stand bereft
You’ll have to go to Maccies cos
There’ll be no restaurants left
