What's catching your eye? 👀🍽

Take a closer look at our Tavern Menu and discover something new to try on your next visit to Walworth Castle.

Packed with flavour, the new menu features hearty mains like the Braised Short Rib and Grilled Pork Chop, alongside Brisket Doughnut or Twice Baked Soufflé starters and Tiramisu or Clementine Trifle desserts.

The castle tavern menu is served:
Monday-Saturday, 12pm-8:30pm
Sunday 5:30pm-8:30pm

We have a light bites menu available Monday - Saturday, 12-5pm.

🎭 Lights, camera... pantomime!

We were delighted to welcome Darlington Hippodrome and the cast of Beauty and the Beast, including Matt Baker, to Walworth Castle for their 2026 press launch.

From filming and photoshoots to press interviews, the castle provided the perfect fairytale backdrop for the upcoming production.

Beauty and the Beast runs from 11 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Keep an eye out for Walworth Castle in the Hippodrome's upcoming content, and grab your tickets for what promises to be another magical panto!

A new chapter for our Castle bedrooms

We’re continuing to invest in Walworth Castle, carefully renovating and upgrading our bedrooms to give guests an even better stay while keeping the character that makes the castle such a special place to visit.

From rooms tucked away in the Castle’s historic towers to spacious suites, four-poster bedrooms and rooms overlooking the gardens, each has its own character and is individually styled. Our renovations are designed to make the most of those individual features, combining fresh interiors and thoughtful touches with the history and architecture already found within the Castle.

ABBA on the Terrace is moving indoors!

We’ve had a close look at this afternoon’s weather forecast and have made the decision to move today’s event indoors at Walworth Castle.

The event is still going ahead as planned, with Absolutely ABBA live from 3pm–5pm.

Moving indoors means we can protect the band and their equipment from the unpredictable weather, while making sure everyone can relax and enjoy the afternoon without worrying about the rain.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Castle later today.
