✨ Meet your baker ✨
I thought it was time I shared a little bit more about the person behind Soph’s Homemade Treats 🤍
My baking journey started back in 2021. What began as a hobby quickly turned into something I was so passionate about, and I decided to take the leap and turn my love for baking into a small business.
A huge part of the beginning of this journey was the support and belief from my husband, Jamie. He believed in me massively and always encouraged me to follow my dreams. Sadly, Jamie passed away in September 2021, but the belief he had in me stayed with me, and I continued baking for the next year while navigating life and raising our two beautiful daughters, Lola and Minnie.
After some time, I felt I needed a change and a chance to get back out into the world. I took a step away from baking, started working at a local pub, and loved being around people again. I’ve always been someone who enjoys keeping busy, and my other passion has always been fitness. This led me to an opportunity in the gym, where I became a gym instructor and gained several qualifications.
Life then took another exciting turn. I met my partner in August 2023, and towards the end of 2024 we found out we were expecting our baby girl, who arrived in 2025.
Becoming a mum again meant another pause from work, but it also gave me time to think about what truly makes me happy and what I wanted to build around my family life.
This past year I’ve felt that pull back towards baking more than ever. After catering my own baby’s christening and receiving so much amazing feedback, it reminded me just how much I love creating things for people and seeing the happiness it brings.
Soph’s Homemade Treats fits perfectly around my family, but more importantly, it brings me so much joy. Every cake, brownie, cupcake and treat I make is created with love, care and a genuine passion for making people smile.
I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me, ordered from me, shared my posts or simply followed along on this journey. It truly means more than you know 🥰
Thank you for being part of Soph’s Homemade Treats 🤍
I’d love to know… what’s your favourite treat I’ve made so far?
