There’s another side to The Garden Room that you might not know about…

Before opening our doors, I spent four years creating bespoke celebration cakes through Patisserie by Jane and now you can order your celebration cakes directly from The Garden Room.

Birthdays, christenings, baby showers, anniversaries, retirements, leaving cakes, new jobs, cupcakes and everything in between.

From something simple and elegant to something completely bespoke, every cake is made by me and designed for your occasion.

So if you’ve got something worth celebrating, come and have a chat with me in The Garden Room or send the page a message with your date.

It’s something we haven’t offered before.

We’re keeping the details under wraps for just a little longer, but there’s one thing we can tell you…

There won’t be many places.

Our little Garden Room means we can only make this available to a very small number of people at a time.

And we have a feeling the first one might fill rather quickly.

We’ll tell you more very soon.

🍂 September vibes have officially arrived at The Garden Room…

The sunshine might still be hanging on, but we’re definitely ready for cosy season.

Fresh on the counter today, big slices of homemade cake, including apple streusel, raspberry & almond and plenty of chocolatey goodness.

And our Pumpkin Spiced Latte is here 🎃☕ topped with cream, a dusting of spice and a little treat on the side.

Perfect for that first taste of autumn… and with Halloween creeping closer, there’s plenty more seasonal goodness to come.

Today’s counter at The Garden Room 🌿

Freshly baked cheese scones, pecan caramel goodness and a rather gorgeous mint chocolate cheesecake… and that’s only part of what’s waiting on the counter today.

This is exactly what I wanted The Garden Room to be.

A little place where people can sit, have a proper coffee and something lovely to eat, bring the dog, have a chat and simply enjoy being here.

Looking back through the photographs from our official opening, this is what I love most seeing those little pink tables filled with people and The Garden Room buzzing.

I’ve put so much into creating this little place, and seeing it come to life like this was pretty special.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day what it was, and to everyone who has walked through our door since we opened.

The Garden Room is officially open and we’re only just getting started.

FRIDAY AT THE GARDEN ROOM 🌿

The weekend starts here…

The weather might be a little grey, but it’s warm and welcoming inside and the cake counter is FULL!

Freshly made cakes, hot bacon sandwiches, gorgeous fresh coffee and a lovely chilled place to sit, switch off and start your weekend.

Come in, grab your favourite, bring a friend or just come and enjoy a little time to yourself.

No rushing. No fuss. Just good food, good coffee and a warm welcome.

And yes… this beauty is on the counter today 🤍

What a truly special day for The Garden Room.

It was an absolute thrill and an honour to welcome the Mayor of Darlington to officially open The Garden Room. From the beautiful speech she gave to the time she spent chatting with everyone who came along, she made the whole occasion feel incredibly special.

Yesterday was one of those days I’ll remember for a very long time.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to share it with us, and to everyone who has supported The Garden Room since we opened our doors. Seeing so many familiar faces there meant more to me than I can put into words.

And a very special thank you to the Mayor for such a wonderful post and such generous words about The Garden Room. I couldn’t have wished for a lovelier official opening.

A very proud day for our little Garden Room. 🤍🌿
