We're open every day 10-4 or if you live close by and need to meet somewhere between south uist and benbecula I'm happy to meet you at a location

As the island starts getting hyped up for all the fantastic summer events happening this month I wanted to let you all know that I am giving the staff an early finish on the following days so they can go and join in the fun.

The cafe will be open as usual at 10am to 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday this week.

On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday we will be closing at 3pm to allow staff to go home and get ready for the local music festival being held.

Eilean Dorcha Festival is a massive event for our small islands and there's always so much to be had.

I'm sure you all can understand my decision to close early and go and join in the fun but I do apologise if it causes any inconvenience for you.

As one of our dear staff has taken the plunge to move upwards in her career we now found ourselves with an opportunity to hire someone new. We wish her well on her new journey.

Looking for a cafe assistant job, hours available are 10+, preferably you would have your own transport but that's not necessary. Full training will be given so if this is your first job or you just want a few hours a week, don't be shy and get in touch.

I'm popping out a little question for all you lovely lot. We are getting a lot more dogs coming to sit outside with their owners and I'm being asked about any homemade dog treats, as this would be something I'd love to offer I wanted to ask if anyone on the island makes homemade dog treats and would like to earn some extra cash supplying the cafe with some?

Hey everyone,

I'm taking a mini break getting the kids to my family on the mainland, I'm only going for the weekend if this awful bug my house has come down with doesn't stop us.

Life is going to get even more hectic in the next 2 weeks and I need to go and get all the extra treats Sweet Boutique brings to you every Highland games and agricultural shows!!!

The cafe will be open while I'm away with our usual hours of 10-4 but with a reduced menu. There's plenty of homemade baking and our delicious ice creams.

Massive thank you to the staff for being super awesome and holding down the fort while I'm away!

This machine has taken the award for the coolest damn thing to ever happen here at Kildonan Cafe! (Besides my homemade cakes and ice creams 😉 )

The first pizza has been claimed! 🍕🍕🍕🍕

For those that don't know this special trophy stone will be hidden around the island on local walks, keep your eyes peeled for it and if you see it snap a picture with it, bring it into the cafe and win a free margarita or pepperoni pizza! The next stone hidden will be on Friday the 3rd July so get those walking boots dusted off, grab your midgey spray and get searching!

The pizzas are only available Thursday, Friday and Saturday so please send us a message to say you've won it with your photo for evidence and we will get your preferred pizza ready.

Here to a warm and, hopefully, tasty summer 🤤🤤
