Hey everyone,

I'm popping out a little question for all you lovely lot. We are getting a lot more dogs coming to sit outside with their owners and I'm being asked about any homemade dog treats, as this would be something I'd love to offer I wanted to ask if anyone on the island makes homemade dog treats and would like to earn some extra cash supplying the cafe with some?

Hey everyone,

I'm taking a mini break getting the kids to my family on the mainland, I'm only going for the weekend if this awful bug my house has come down with doesn't stop us.

Life is going to get even more hectic in the next 2 weeks and I need to go and get all the extra treats Sweet Boutique brings to you every Highland games and agricultural shows!!!

The cafe will be open while I'm away with our usual hours of 10-4 but with a reduced menu. There's plenty of homemade baking and our delicious ice creams.

Massive thank you to the staff for being super awesome and holding down the fort while I'm away!

This machine has taken the award for the coolest damn thing to ever happen here at Kildonan Cafe! (Besides my homemade cakes and ice creams 😉 )

The first pizza has been claimed! 🍕🍕🍕🍕

For those that don't know this special trophy stone will be hidden around the island on local walks, keep your eyes peeled for it and if you see it snap a picture with it, bring it into the cafe and win a free margarita or pepperoni pizza! The next stone hidden will be on Friday the 3rd July so get those walking boots dusted off, grab your midgey spray and get searching!

The pizzas are only available Thursday, Friday and Saturday so please send us a message to say you've won it with your photo for evidence and we will get your preferred pizza ready.

Sadly my ice cream freezer has decided today it doesn't want to wake up and go to work. 😢

Don't worry though! Ice cream and milkshakes are still available as we've got them hidden away in the back instead 😁

It's takeaway night tonight and tomorrow as well! This will be the last one until mid August as I've got to prepare Sweet Boutique pouches for all the amazing agricultural shows and highland games happening in July, and who can forget EDF and Barra Live this year also!! 🍭🍬

So excited for the next few weeks and to see all you lovely lot outside of the cafe for a change.

The cafe will remain open during these awesome days but it will be working with a reduced menu while I'm away to ensure a fast and smooth service for you all.

Summer has hit us in South Uist! ☀️☀️☀️

You still need a thick coat to combat the cold winds but the sun's shining finally. Look how it's made our biscoff cheesecake glisten!

All our baking is homemade by our staff here, including our ice creams! Made fresh by myself every week and there's 6 flavours to choose from 🍦🍦🍦

Takeaway nights are back tomorrow with our delicious sour dough pizzas, handmade quarter pounder burgers, gooey mozzarella sticks and fresh battered onion rings 🤤🤤

If this dog is yours please come and get him!!! We know he belongs in daliburgh- lochboisdale area!

He is running out in front of vehicles, climbing into customers cars and we're now getting complaints that he's making their cars smell which obviously upsetting my customers, he also mounting small children and has been following cyclists on the road!

I've managed to tie him up with a dog lead outside so he won't cause and accident and given him some water and chicken.

Although he's very cute we don't have a need of a museum dog so please hurry and collect him

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately there will be no takeaways this week, I need a short break from them. I've been pulling some very long shifts and late nights trying to keep everything stocked up and running smoothly for all your lovely customers and it's catching up.
