Saying goodbye is never easy, but goodbye it is as we have poured our last cup of tea and sliced our last slice of carrot cake…
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the end of the road for Louie’s, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has visited us over the past decade.
The rising costs of staff and food, along with high rent, tougher competition from new cafes in Bucklers Park and a decline in footfall on the high street. These factors, combined, have made it impossible for Louie’s to continue in its current form, leading us to make the difficult decision to close our doors.
We have had so many regulars and it would be impossible to list them all but thank you to *deep breath* Wendy; Marjorie & Mary; Stacey & Mark; Brenda; Janet; Leslie & Graham; Gigi, Lorna and Bernadette; the Saturday morning pancake ladies; Sheila, Warren, Richard, John, Rosie (the only one to try every tea in the shop) and her Mum; Karen & Wayne; Kim, Dave; Janet and her strawberry milkshake; Adele & Dave; Caroline; Del, Angela, Barbara and the Thursday lunchtime gang; The Jean Genie, Sue & Theresa; Caroline, Judi, All the NCT Mums who made Monday lunch a lively one!; Chris Baker & Mitchell, The Chappells, Paulette and family, Nicola, Lionel and Nicky, Susan, Jayne, The Egans, Sally & Nick, Kay (carrot cake!) and Russell, Mary, Lynne, Penny, Penny & Dorn, Gail (who drank more Lapsang in our lifetime than anyone), Amy, Sophie and the Wellington ladies; “Big Breakfast” Chris, The Hancock family especially Jessica; Sarah and Francesca, “Chocolate Cake” Tony, Ryan, Mushroom Sue & friends, Katherine, Team Gorman, Robert & Hilary, The Tuesday morning walkers, Suzanne & Marina, Roger & Tina, Paul, Suzie, The Ringmead doctors, all from Kingdom Hall including the dearly departed Peggy, may she rest in peace.
Thank you if you have been in this week to say goodbye. Your good wishes are very much appreciated.
Thank you also to all the other traders who supported us in our fantastic high street, including but not exclusively Steve the Village Cobbler, Julia, Jude, Nicole & all at Dancia, Katherine and the Two Sisters crew, Catherine and all at Dopsons, Sweet Tiger, Fiona, Ben and the rest of our High Street comrades!

This post is intended for our followers and friends, please do not share on a public group like We Love Crowthorne. Thank you. If we wanted it on WLC then we'd have done it ourselves ;)
TTFN!
