*Over £200 raised for Breast Cancer Now Charity*

In support of Breast Cancer Now's August Tea month, our Joint Manager, Lisa, baked a Cake and held a "guess the weight of the cake" competition.

The Shop donated a hamper and a bottle of prosecco for a raffle.

*Food Hygiene Rating of 5 "Very Good"*

Following an inspection yesterday by an Officer of The Food Standards Agency, The Shop & Cafe has again been awarded the highest possible rating of 5 - Very Good.

This is a great achievement, many thanks to our Joint Manager, Lisa, for her leadership and diligence and, of course, to our wonderful volunteers for maintaining such high hygiene standards. Well done all!

If you are interested in volunteering, we are always looking for friendly people to join our growing team. Whatever your personal situation or background, there are lots of roles to choose from at The Shop & Cafe:

- Serving customers in The Shop & Cafe
- Back office’ roles, such as marketing/promotions, accounts, rota management, DIY.

Just a few hours a month can make a big difference to the success and sustainability of The Shop & Cafe.

*ROAD CLOSURE*

Unfortunately we have another road closure to contend with!

From 17th - 19th August between 9.30am - 3.30pm, there is no access from the direction of or to Broughton Hackett (south side of The Shop).

Normal vehicular access to the Shop from Church Road/Village side is maintained.

Just in – the latest vintage of our very own Shop at Crowle cider!

Ever popular with customers, this product could hardly be more ‘local’ – made from local apples donated by Shop Volunteers, pressed and fermented at Fircone Farm in Crowle, and crafted for us by Pershore Press.

This year’s bottling is a medium dry, and initial feedback suggests it could be our best yet.

Good news, the temporary road closure opposite The Shop is now finished and the road is now fully open in both directions.

*Early closure - Friday, 31 July*

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are sorry to say that we will be closing early today.

The cafe will close at 2.30 pm, the shop will be closing at 3pm.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

Normal opening hours will resume tomorrow (Saturday).

*Road closure update*

We've been advised Church Road will be open to vehicles in both directions just for today.

This is apparently due to a piece of equipment not being available today, so I'm afraid we're expecting the Road to be closed again tomorrow....
