What a fantastic day it was for the Picklelicious team! We had the absolute pleasure of stepping out of the kitchen and into the classroom to teach a group of enthusiastic kids the art of making South Asian Momos.

It is always a joy to see the next generation get excited about global cuisine. The children were incredibly engaged as we guided them through the process, from kneading the perfect dough to folding the delicate pleats that give Momos their signature look. Watching their faces light up as they shaped their first dumpling was a reminder of why we love what we do!

A huge thank you to the kids for their curiosity and to the parents for trusting us with their little foodies. We are already counting down to our next workshop!

🌟 HAF Day 3 at Portobello Community Centre 🌟

Another fantastic day of fun, food and creativity at our HAF programme! 💛

A huge thank you to Vijay & Naman from Picklelicious for delivering an amazing dumpling-making session. The children loved getting hands-on creating their own dumplings before enjoying a delicious noodle lunch. 🥟🍛 Your enthusiasm and support made the day truly memorable! Picklelicious

Today’s activities also included:

💖 Bracelet making
😊 Plenty of smiles, laughter and new friendships

We were also delighted to receive wonderful feedback from our parents, who shared how much their children are enjoying the sessions.

Today we welcomed the Wakefield Council HAF team for our Quality Assurance visit, and we’re pleased that it went really well. It’s great to see all the hard work of our staff, volunteers and activity providers being recognised.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our HAF programme—we’re proud to provide a fun, safe and welcoming space for local children this summer. 🌈
