This one is a little more personal 💛
Before What The Sense, before all the plans and ideas, there were tough experiences like this one.

This is the story of how I found out my son had a rare brain condition, through a text message… and the overwhelming stress and uncertainty that followed.

Sharing this because I know there will be other parents who have found themselves suddenly thrown into a world they knew nothing about. If this feels familiar to you, just know that you are not alone💛

Experiences like this are a big part of why What The Sense matters so much to me.

What a lovely afternoon at the Crieff Primary School Summer Fete! ☀️🎪💛

What The Sense had our own little stall today alongside lots of other brilliant local stalls, bouncy castles, games, food and plenty of fun! 🧸✨

It was so nice getting to chat with families, see so many familiar faces and be part of another fantastic community event right here in Crieff. 🥰

A huge well done to Parents in Partnership and everyone involved in organising and making today happen — and thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall and supported What The Sense! 💛

We absolutely love getting involved supporting our local community and spreading the word about our plans to create a more inclusive, sensory-friendly place for children, families and people of all abilities. 🌈

Today we were on VIP & dignitary parking at the Crieff Highland Gathering 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We had an amazing time helping out,
Great to see good vibes and smiles all round.
We will definitely be back next year, hopefully with our stall there 😉

This hit me hard. ❤️

I know I can’t protect my boys from every struggle they’ll face in life. They’ll have their own battles, their own setbacks and their own mountains to climb.

But if there are battles I can fight now, so they don’t have to fight them later, I will.

I’ll fight for understanding.
I’ll fight for inclusion.
I’ll fight for places where they’re accepted exactly as they are.
I’ll fight for opportunities that shouldn’t be so difficult to access in the first place.

That’s a huge part of why What The Sense means so much to me.

I’m not trying to remove every obstacle from their lives. I’m trying to make sure they don’t grow up fighting the same battles we already knew how to fix.

They’ll have enough battles of their own. ❤️

So these ones? I’ll fight them for them.💪❤️
