As temperatures cool and the soil stays naturally moist, newly planted trees can focus their energy on establishing strong roots before the demands of spring and summer arrive. 🌱

But planting a tree is about so much more than adding some gorgeous autumn colour to your garden. Trees provide food and shelter for wildlife, capture carbon, help cool our surroundings, improve air quality and create green spaces for us all to enjoy. 🐦🌿

POV: you bought the bulbs… now you actually have to plant them 👀🌷

Don’t worry, we’ve got you. Save this for your next planting day 📌

🌼 Daffodils → 10–15cm
🌷 Hybrid Tulips → 15–20cm
🌷 Botanical Tulips → 10–15cm
🪻 Hyacinths → 10–15cm
💜 Alliums → 10–20cm*
🌿 Larger Fritillarias → 15–30cm*

*Depending on bulb size and variety.

✨ The golden rule: Most bulbs should be planted around 2–3 times as deep as the bulb is tall.

And remember, you don’t need to plant everything at once! Tulips are generally happier planted a little later in autumn. 🌷
