It’s looking pretty sunny in here today!

🍓Rhubarb & strawberry danish, with whipped yoghurt, strawberry & rhubarb confiture and a hint of balsamic & black pepper.

🌳Denhead Farm Asparagus, Jersey Royal potato and Winslade cheese danish with black truffle viniagrette.

Proof that spring has finally sprung!

Very excited to have received the first delivery of edible flowers from my mum and dad’s polytunnel. From now until sometime in November we will get weekly gifts of whatever is at its best.

We had a ball at last nights Scottish Excellence Awards at the Sheraton, Edinburgh. As finalists in eatery newcomer and pastry chef of the year, we were delighted to even be considered alongside winners Elements in Glasgow and Szilard Szentesi, pastry chef of Mar Hall.

We had a great time and were very happy to come home with our certificates.

Smokey beef brisket; celeriac, cabbage & apple slaw; dill pickles & homemade barbecue sauce all on our herby focaccia.

On the counter for a couple of weeks, we are really enjoying marinading and smoking the beef before roasting it overnight.

Mallorcan Sobrasada & Mahon Cheese Pain Suisse are back! On the counter on Fridays and Saturdays for a little while, this is one of our favourite savouries.

Coated in a treacle & smoked paprika glaze these pastries are filled with a mild sweet cured Spanish sausage and salty, buttery Mahon cheese.
