Last week, I was invited into the BBC studios to talk about some of the wonderful events coming up in Cricklade, as well as what’s happening here at The Wild Fig Deli.

When I arrived, I was also asked if I would speak about our dear business neighbour, Barbara from the pet shop, who was so tragically killed in a car accident recently.

I won’t lie – I was incredibly nervous. It felt like a huge responsibility to speak on behalf of our community about someone who meant so much to so many people. I just hope I did Barbara proud. ❤️

Moving on from such an emotional conversation wasn’t easy, but we also had the chance to shine a light on some of the fantastic events taking place in our town.

It’s incredible what a little vision, a lot of hard work, and an amazing community can achieve. ❤️

What was once the old Cricklade Police Station is now The Wild Fig Deli & Bar; a place filled with great coffee, delicious food, laughter, and people coming together every day.

Seeing these two photos side by side reminds me of just how far we’ve come. Thank you to every single person who has supported us on this journey. You’re part of this transformation too. ☺️
