Hi all

Well that’s not how I would have wanted to end an amazing week with melplash show and Jayden’s brave the shave and an absolutely amazing weekend at the oak fair

I’ve not been feeling great for the last five or six weeks just put it down to being tired but the weekend it got really bad to the point that I could not walk properly and could hardly use my right arm, so today went to the hospital after blood tests was told I have another bout of lymes disease this one is the worst yet the pain in my arm and leg is excruciating

So now back on the antibiotics for a month then more blood tests just what I need right now as have the cheese festival in two weeks time

I can not stress enough if you ever get a tick from a deer on you go to your doctors even if you don’t get the classic target rash I have never had the target rash

I got lymes in 2007 and have had four bouts of it since then and I can tell you I wouldn’t wish this on anyone each bout it gets worse, doctors are more up to date with it now than when I first got it so know what to look for

Better to be safe than sorry

Hi all
With now under a week to go until our favourite show of the year, the oak fair at stock gaylard

This year the oak fair is celebrating its 20th anniversary so to mark this anniversary I decided I would make something new just for the oak fair

After a lot of playing around with different things and different flavours I have come up with this little beauty

I have combined the estate venison with the famous Dorset Blue Vinny Cheese also made on the stock gaylard estate and made a stuffed venison burger with a Dorset blue vinny centre and wrapped in dry cured smoked bacon

These are absolutely delicious and it doesn’t get more local

100% local virtually zero food miles and 100% traceability

I will have these available at the oak fair prepacked for you to take home
Grab them when your there very limited stock and when there gone they are gone

Hi all
Sorry not posted much recently been busy with events, and with the weather being what it is I decided to shut the chillers down to take the strain off of the refrigeration units until it cools down a bit

So have decided to something a little different for you all

It’s just over a month to go before my lad Jayden does his brave the shave for charity at the melplash show on the 27th of august

You may have seen my post earlier this week about my lad Jayden and that he is going to completely shave off his massive mop of hair for the su***de awareness and support charity

And in particular raise awareness of the rising amount of su***des in the farming and agriculture industry which he loves

This is going to take place at the melplash agricultural show on the 27th August

He has already passed his original target of £500 in only a couple of days

So as this looks like it is going to take off for him I’m going to do as much as I can to see how much he can raise for charity

Hi all

Those of you that have been on the group for a while would have seen my posts about my son Jayden and the horrendous bullying he had to endure while he was at school and the problems this caused with his metal health

Thankfully he has now finished and is working full time on the farm

He has now decided that it is time for his massive mop of hair to go and is going to do a brave the shave to try and raise money for charity

He has decide to raise money for the su***de awareness and support group and in particular raise awareness of the su***de rate among farmers and those working in the farming industry at the moment which is on the rise

After everything he went through at school with the bullying and getting stabbed in his own classroom this is a very big thing for him to do at only 16years old

The shave will take place on Thursday the 27th of August at the melplash agricultural show at bridport in Dorset and will be live streamed on Facebook

I have to say a massive thank you to Lucy hart and the melplash agricultural society for letting him do this at the show

I know things are very tight for everyone at the moment but I would ask if you are able to donate however small an amount to help him reach his target it would be very much appreciated

Hi all

Have now finalised the bbq box I will be doing up this weekend for delivery next week each box will contain all of the following

1 x 4 jumbo venison and mixed herb sausages

1 x 4 jumbo venison Cumberland sausages

1 x 4 bbq venison kofta kebabs

1 x 4 venison wild garlic & herb kofta kebabs

1 x 4 venison and juniper burgers

1 x 4 venison & mixed herb burgers

1 x 2 venison loin fillet bbq steaks

1 x 2 red currant & rosemary venison tender loin skewers (not shown in the pictures)

1 x 2 of the new for this summer bacon wrapped stuffed venison burgers 150g venison burgers stuffed with garlic and herb cheddar cheese with mango chutney

1 x tray of 10 wild garlic and sweet chilli bbq bites a delicious mix x of venison wild garlic and sweet chilli mince wrapped in wafer thin dry cured bacon

All of this will be made this weekend and sent out on Tuesday next week for delivery on Thursday with dpd next day delivery

price for all of this is £75.00 including next day delivery with dpd in insulated boxes with ice packs

Or £65.00 if collected from my place just outside of crewkerne in Somerset
