Save the Date

Despite previous, misleading messages to the contrary (Jen!) our final day here at RX Lounge will be next Saturday, the 18th of September 2021. We will be open from 8am for all you early-birds, and we will close the doors for the very last time at 2pm, maybe with a drink in our hand and certainly a tear in our eye.

Come and visit us as many times as you like between now and then, but we would dearly love to see you on that last day so we can say goodbye.

This is far from the last post from us, and I'm sure we'll say this many times over this next week, but thanks to all of you who have joined us on this wonderful journey. 🥰🥰

Hello to all our lovely RX-ers, we hope you’re all safe, well and happy.

After a few months of soul-searching and furious deliberation, and weeks of budgeting, forecasting, number crunching and time-table plotting, we have come to the heart-breaking and extremely difficult decision that we, Jen & Paul, will not be able to carry on running our beloved RX Lounge.

We have enjoyed running this place so much, for so long, and this has not been an easy decision, especially after having managed to fight our way through the long, tedious and seemingly never ending lock-downs during these Covid years, and you would be right to wonder, after making it to the other side, why we are now seemingly throwing in the towel.

There are two main reasons: the first is that Jen has lost her coffee-shop-mojo through these hard, draining, soul-destroying months and is now, finally, ready to pursue her Nursing goal that has been delayed, deferred, side-lined and de-prioritised in favour of looking after our kids, family commitments, and most recently, our RX Lounge. The second is that Paul, although he would dearly love to keep RX running, the turnover doesn’t quite meet the dreams, although we’re dreaming of the day he can re-start an adapted RX Lounge – probably on wheels – and finally follow his dreams all the way to the end.❤️

Our final day will be Thursday 23rd September

It’s been an incredible adventure & we have learnt so much. We want to thank you all, for everything. Big hugs….We need them!
