The Hand and Trumpet is a decent sized pub, seating about 150, with classic old floors, rugs, open fires, books and old furniture. There’s a sizeable garden with a large pond, and we’ve built a deck out over the rear of the pub which overlooks the grounds.

CHARITY QUIZ NIGHT IS BACK!

Our monthly Charity Speed Quiz returns next Monday 7th September, raising money for the wonderful Dougie Mac ❤️

Grab your cleverest friends (or at least the ones who think they're clever 😂), get a team together and join us for another night of friendly competition in the Library.

One important note for our four-legged regulars — as the quiz takes place in the Library, unfortunately we can't accommodate dogs on quiz night. 🐾

A little stretch, a little sip… and a rather lovely brunch to complete your Sunday morning.

Join us in the beautiful surroundings of The Hand & Trumpet for a relaxed yoga session, followed by a well-earned Mimosa and a delicious brunch. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or simply fancy trying something new, everyone is welcome.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reminded just how special our community really is. ❤️

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests, the hard work of our team, and everyone who came along to support us, we’ve been able to raise money for three fantastic charities through our recent fundraising events:

🌿 Summer Garden Party – £700 for The Hubb Foundation
🐾 Charity Dog Walk – £312 for The Christie Charity
🧠 Charity Pub Quiz – £307 for Dougie Mac

Every ticket bought, raffle prize donated, quiz question answered, and mile walked has helped make a real difference to people who need it most.

Great food, fantastic wines and even better company — we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did.

On Friday 24th July transport yourself to the sunny streets of Spain for an evening of great food and wonderful wines at our Tapas Night.

Starting at 7pm with a cool glass of Cava to get things going, you’ll then be treated to a generous selection of tasty tapas, each paired with matching wines throughout the evening.

From classic Spanish favourites to a few new flavours, it’s the perfect excuse to share plates, discover something different and make a night of it.
