To Crawley Talks 🔥 and David Hampson,

When I was on holiday, I became aware of a Facebook post concerning my business, Southgate Fish & Chips. I have always understood Crawley Talks to be a platform for sharing useful information, raising awareness and supporting the local community. However, the information posted by David Hampson about our business is inaccurate and has resulted in false allegations being made against us.

Since taking over Southgate Fish & Chips in July 2022, we have operated the business as a family-run business and, to the best of our knowledge, have not recruited or employed any new members of staff. Therefore, the allegations made in the post do not reflect the way our business has been operating and have no basis in fact.

These are serious allegations, and statements of this nature can have a significant negative impact on a small family business, including our reputation and livelihood. Before publishing or sharing allegations about any local business, I ask that the information is properly checked and verified to ensure that it is accurate and fair.

David Hampson and Crawley Talks: We respectfully request that the post containing these allegations is removed, that the inaccurate information is corrected, and that a clear public apology is provided. If this matter is not addressed, we will consider seeking appropriate legal advice and taking any further action available to us to protect our business, reputation and interests.

We are a family-run business that has worked hard since July 2022 to build and maintain a positive reputation within the local community, and we will not allow inaccurate allegations to damage that reputation.
