🧡🩵 Crantock Surf Life Saving Club is turning 40! 🩵🧡 And we’re very happy to be hosting the celebrations here at Bowgie! 🎉

Join us for a special evening celebrating 40 years of Crantock Surf Life Saving Club - four decades of saving lives, training generations of lifesavers and being such an important part of the Crantock community.

Expect music, a silent disco, plenty of celebrating, plus a glass of fizz, nibbles and a goody bag included with your ticket 🥂🎶

The dress code? Black tie meets beach life. 🌊🕺 You decide what that means!

Most importantly, all proceeds from the evening will go towards helping secure the future of the club.

And you don’t need to be a member to join the party - everyone is welcome!

Summer is winding down, and September brings a different kind of magic to the coast 🤍

It’s a month for slowing down, taking your time and noticing the little things - including some of our favourite neighbours who seem to come out to say hello when things get a little quieter 🐦🐇🦭

So, take the coastal walk. Sit for a little longer. Watch the waves. Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife around West Pentire.

September is all about slowing down and enjoying what’s right on our doorstep 🤍🌊

Did you know Crantock Beach is just a short stroll from Bowgie? 🌊👣At low tide, follow the path down to the sand for some classic beach fun - build sandcastles, explore the rock pools or simply settle in for a few hours by the sea.

And when the tide is in, you might even fancy a dip yourself… conditions permitting, of course!

With the school holidays coming to an end, there’s still time to squeeze in one more day at the beach before it’s back to the school run, packed lunches and alarm clocks! 😂

Whilst we aren’t hosting our Ale Festival this year, we’ll still be raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care throughout the Bank Holiday weekend! From Friday 28th August to Monday 31st August, we’ll be donating £1 from every pint of cask ale sold to this brilliant local charity.

And when we say Cornish ale, we mean it. Our cask selection includes beers from some fantastic local breweries, including Atlantic Brewery, St Austell Brewery, St Ives Brewery, Skinners Brewery and Firebrand Brewing Co. 🍺

Plus, if you’re joining us over the Bank Holiday, you can grab one of our reusable Ale Festival pint glasses to take home and keep.

So, come and enjoy a proper Cornish pint, soak up the view, and help us raise a little more for a brilliant cause.

Did you know we’re proud to support local charity Cornwall Hospice Care? 🤍 At the moment, we’re raising money by giving some of our old Bowgie T-shirts a new lease of life - and we’ve been loving seeing what you’ve been using them for!

From post-sea-swim layers to gardening gear 🌱 and everyday outfits, they’re getting a second life far beyond the pub.

Fancy repping the Bowgie while supporting a brilliant local cause? You can pick up one of our old T-shirts from the front of the pub. Once they’re gone, they’re gone - so grab one while you can!
