Late post, but what a day! 🌾 Huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Fun at the Farm. It was so lovely catching up with familiar faces and welcoming so many first-time visitors to Maddings!
​We were so wonderfully busy serving delicious sausage rolls, wonder chips & carrot cakes outside (& usual menu inside)& celebrating the launch of that we only managed to snap a single photo! 📸
​We can’t wait to welcome you all back to Maddings again🥂✨
A massive thanks to everyone who made it happen & to the most amazing team at Maddings, you are the best troopers ever!

From Bramley to Maddings via the Downs Link! 🌿🚶‍♀️☕

Looking for the perfect countryside adventure? The walk from Bramley to Maddings along the Downs with plenty of hidden corners to explore along the way.

Take in the beautiful scenery, enjoy the sounds of nature, spot some friendly wildlife, and don’t forget to say hello to fellow walkers and cyclists as you pass.

And the best part? Finishing your hike with a well-deserved treat at Maddings. Whether it’s a coffee, a slice of cake, or a hearty meal, you’ve certainly earned it. 🍰☕✨

🌹 It’s been a busy few days on the terrace at Maddings!

Jim (Chef Dave’s dad) has kindly handcrafted and installed this beautiful rose arch, adding another special touch to our outdoor space.

Today, we replanted one of the flower beds beside the arch to give a newly planted rose — propagated from Dave’s own garden — the perfect place to thrive.

A second rose, also propagated from Chef Dave’s garden, will be planted next week. With a little time and care, we hope both roses will climb the arch and create a stunning floral feature for everyone to enjoy on the terrace.

It’s lovely to see another small piece of family, craftsmanship, and care becoming part of Maddings. 🌹
