🍴 WE’RE HIRING! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Due to two fabulous members of staff moving on to a graduate job and away to Uni, we are now looking for a Kitchen Team Member to join our team at The Village Tavern, Coxhoe! 🍻

This is a part-time position, and we’re looking for someone who:

✅ Has previous kitchen experience
✅ Is confident with cooking and food preparation
✅ Can provide friendly and efficient customer service/serving
✅ Is happy to help with cleaning and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen
✅ Can work well as part of a team
✅ Is reliable, hardworking and able to work in a busy environment
✅ Must be available to work weekends
✅ A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, but not essential

Our food hygiene inspection is back… and it’s a 5 STAR! 🥳🙌

Couldn’t be happier. We work bloody hard behind the scenes to keep everything clean, fresh and running properly. So getting the top rating is a proper proud moment for us and makes all the hard work worth it.

Big thank you to everyone who supports us, orders from us and keeps us busy.

What a day SO FAR ❤️🇬🇷 we are OPEN till 11pm

We NEARLY sold out of chicken… TWICE! 😂🍗

So off we went rushing to the butchers for an emergency topup, only for the chicken to fly out all over again! Then, just when we thought we were in trouble, Coxhoe Corner came to the rescue 🙌❤️

Honestly, days like today remind us how lucky we are to be part of this community.

Every order, every recommendation, every person who pops in, and everyone who chooses to support our little Greek place means more than you probably realise.

We’re not just serving food here, we’re building something together. Coxhoe has shown us time and time again what an amazing community it is.

❤️ A little message from our family to yours

Over the last while, we’ve had so many lovely people from our local community reach out to ask if we can donate, sponsor or help with different fundraisers, raffles and causes close to their hearts.

Honestly, we wish we could say yes to everyone. If we could, we would. But being a small family business, there are limits to what we’re able to give, and sometimes we have to make difficult choices.

We’ve always tried to help where we can quietly, genuinely, and without expecting anything in return. We’ve supported charities, local families, raffles, community events and many different causes over the duration of our journey and we’ll continue to do so whenever we’re in a position to do so.

We don’t want to list names, those who know, know. ❤️

To anyone who has contacted us, thank you. Thank you for thinking of us, trusting us and giving us the opportunity to be involved. Even when we can’t help, please never take it as us not caring.

We’re just a little family business, trying our best, and we’re incredibly grateful to be part of this community.
