The mess-canteen+bar is trying to support the locals and the Isle of Wight as much as possible. Pallets from Mingellas Ice Cream factory have been turned into a 30 seater sofa .Benches from Sandown Church have been used together with old farmhouse doors, colanders, old school pegs and much much more. We have tried to create a cosy atmosphere and something a little different and what some would say as being quirky! We are a place to sit back and relax with friends and enjoy a pint of Mess lager, a fresh fruit jam jar cocktail or a coffee...together with our delicious fresh homemade food. All companies involved in the mess are local family run businesses as much as possible.We also employee many young apprentices in the hope of teaching them every thing they need in order to start out in the top of their game in the career they choose. Simple honest produce at simple honest prices.....where you will know where everything you have eaten or drank has come from. We pride ourselves on having the best customer service and friendly staff to give you a warm welcome as you come through the door. We hope to see you soon!
