💔 A little less sparkle in the world today…

We’re incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of the wonderful Dolly Parton.

Dolly was so much more than a country music legend. She was a songwriter, storyteller, actress, businesswoman and, above all, someone who spent her life spreading kindness, generosity and joy.

From Jolene and 9 to 5 to I Will Always Love You, her songs have been part of the soundtrack to countless lives - and we’re sure they’ll be playing in record shops and coffee shops for generations to come. 🎶☕️

So today, we’ll raise a coffee cup to Dolly, put on a Dolly record, and remember an extraordinary woman who reminded us that you can be glamorous, funny, talented, kind and completely yourself all at once.

Thank you for the music, Dolly. ❤️

We had an incredible evening with , , .hendy and last Tuesday! 🎶

Playing a selection of jazz standards alongside some cracking original tunes, it was so great to have live music back in the shop. And judging by the atmosphere, we’re definitely doing it again!

We’re confirming our next date for October this week! 🎷

👀It genuinely saddens us to say this, but we've made the difficult decision to install CCTV in our beloved little shop.👀

Over the years we've had the occasional item stolen, but recently things have taken a turn for the worse. The latest was someone switching the price on a rare 45, costing us £30. It might not sound like a fortune, but when you're a small independent business working on very slim margins, it really matters.
•••
We hope our wonderful, loyal customers understand why we're doing this and won't find it too intrusive. This is about protecting the shop, not changing the welcoming atmosphere we love.
