Hi everyone,

Just a little update from us - Michelle will be having surgery soon and will be taking some well-deserved time to rest and recover over the next 6 weeks.

Don’t worry though, we’re still open as usual! Josh (our wonderful manager) will be holding down the fort, alongside the familiar friendly face wife Georgia. You might also see a few new team members popping up while Michelle is away.

We’d really appreciate your patience and kindness during this time as the team settles into a slightly different routine - it truly means the world to us.

Thank you as always for your support, and we’ll keep you posted on Michelle’s recovery 💛

We’re always on the lookout for ways to support independent labels, and nothing beats getting fresh records through the door. We’re especially excited about these latest additions from Loose Music - if you’re after something new to spin, you really can’t go wrong with anyone on their roster.

Leading the pack is Arcade, the third solo release from our good friend Danny George Wilson. We’ve also got a stunning live album from the incredible Jeffrey Martin , if folk and singer-songwriter sounds are your thing, these are essential listening.

Looking for something a little more alternative? Check out the fantastic debut from New Orleans quartet Greazy Alice. Think radiant country meets heart-worn honky-tonk, with shades of Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, and Dr. John.

We’ve also got the latest from Brown Horse - the Norwich-based band returning with their third studio album, bringing a bigger, bolder take on country rock while keeping that intimate, reflective edge.

And last but not least, Dreams - a beautiful collaboration between iconic 1960s folk artist Bonnie Dobson and London’s cosmic Americana band The Hanging Stars.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable Bank Staff Baristas to join our team.

This is a flexible, casual position ideal for someone who is passionate about coffee and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages
• Providing excellent customer service
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace
• Supporting the team during busy periods

Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or over
• Previous barista training is essential
• Friendly, reliable, and able to work well in a team
• Flexible availability for shifts as required

Some proper showstoppers just landed with a new collection 🎭

For all you Broadway and West End fans, we’ve had some brilliantly unusual Stage & Screen arrivals hit the racks - and the artwork alone is worth a look.

From the toe-tapping East End charm of Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be and the swinging 60s sparkle of Half a Sixpence and Charlie Girl, to Broadway favourites like Bye Bye Birdie and cult gems such as Dames at Sea - there’s plenty of big choruses, big characters, and big tunes to get stuck into. We’ve even got lesser-spotted titles like Make Me an Offer and The Card for the deep-cut collectors.
