The third wonder of my world turned 21 on Monday of this week.
As part of a trio of absolute adorable creatures of whom I have the pleasure of an inside track of knowing extremely well, this particular forest sprite is one of a kind.
Evie. My entire everything. From music to books to nature and the beauty of the world and the people in it. She never dips into bad reviews, she sees the good in most things.
A lot of folks on this page will have encountered Evie, if you have not had the pleasure of an Evie “yo” then I apologise cos if you knew what I know and had the pleasure of a billion random conversations, loose talks, multi genre discipline music exchanges and wrap ups in our loving arms on quilt covers whilst watching in comfortable silence so many cartoons that sit in perfect harmony alongside our fiery arguments and shouting matches that make a parent/seed relationship so wonderfully symbiotic, then you need to know the nirvana I have a free pass too.
But let’s leave the “ I love you” superlatives behind, we all love our kids.
But not as much as I love mine…
This arrogance to assume is my children’s fault, they made loving so easy.
Happy birthday my darling, it’s a year long 21st so we will go wreck shop for those 12 months, I have an itinerary full of mischievous and capers
Stay you forever, no one else is worth coveting.
