Tregunter is a small business making a wide range of high quality home made preserves, specialising in preserves that are suitable for people with a range of food intolerances, such as lactose, wheat, dairy and gluten. The preserves are available in 4 different sizes, catering for those who just want a little something nice to people who love preserves. They are also available in a range of gift packs and baskets that can be made to order. Tregunter attends a number of local markets and events, as well as having a website that people can purchase from and either have the order posted to them or collect direct from Tregunter.

It’s a beautiful sunny morning here in Stratford, and I’m all set ready for the market to start.

I’m here until 5pm with around 60 different flavours of jam, marmalade, curd, jelly, chutney and no added sugar preserves, and there are lots of tasters out for people to try. So why not pop down and say hello.

It’s been a long 12 hour day in the kitchen today, starting with 3 batches of three fruits marmalade. This turned to lots of peeling, chopping and brining as I prepared 2 batches of piccalilli and lots of pickled onions.

The piccalilli will brine for 24 hours before I drain rinse and cook them but the pickled onions I’ll jar late Friday night or Saturday morning as I’ve only just finished those.

Time for a sit down and some food now I think 😊

It’s definitely becoming more autumnal, with today being the first time I pulled off the drive in darkness, with the sky slowly lightening as I drove to Stratford to get set for todays market.

I’ve got lots of the baskets I made yesterday including one with three different ages of honey in - I will only be making two this size and one large one this year as I only have a few jars from the first harvest left.

I’ve had a day off cooking and instead have been busy making baskets. Still quite a few to shrink wrap but I’ll be taking quite a few if these to Stratford tomorrow

Beetroot is a veg that has always been growing in the garden since I was little, although I wasn’t keen on it when I was a child. Now I love it and although this year a lot of the seeds I planted didn’t grow, what has, is a good size in between the calendulas. 🌼

It was lovely today to pick a handful of beetroot and in less than two hours it was beetroot and orange chutney ready to jar up. 😋😋

I’m back in Stratford again today with my stall near the RSC Theatre. I’ve been busy making lots more gift packs so there are plenty to choose from and I can also make them with flavours of your choice, while you wait.

My first delivery of jars for today, this is just over 6000 jars! Thankfully the second one due in around an hour is just 1000 😮

Due to a problem with my van, I’ve not managed to get to Stratford Waterside Upmarket today but I should be back next week, in my usual place by the RSC Theatre 🤞

The smell of these blackcurrants boiling away is just divine 😍 I’ll be able to jar the jam fairly soon 😋
