Today marks exactly 4 years since we first opened the doors to our Coundon location. To many, it’s just a number. But to us, it represents a lifetime of hard work, thousands of early mornings, and a journey that actually started much earlier, in a way we will never forget.
The story of Papp’s Café truly began in Holbrooks, just two weeks before the entire world came to a sudden halt due to the pandemic. We opened our doors, and fourteen days later, we were forced to pull down the shutters. What followed were two long years of "open-and-close" cycles, weeks where rules shifted constantly, and daily uncertainty. Many told us back then that it was an impossible dream.
But we refused to give up.
And in March 2022, we started all over again, right from scratch. We took on the space in Coundon, and that's where a beautiful kind of madness truly began...
These past 4 years haven't been easy. They have been full of challenges and pure exhaustion, but above all, filled with immense rewards, rewards you, our wonderful customers, give us every single day when you walk through our doors. You turned Papp's Café from just a place to eat into a real community and a family.
And because every beautiful chapter deserves to grow naturally... on this special anniversary, we want to share a little joy with you.
We have officially signed for our SECOND Papp’s Café location at Eliot Park Innovation Centre!
