We're delighted to hear BISHI's The Water of Tyne: Reimagined featured on BBC Radio 3's Unclassified: Worldbuilding.
Presenter Elizabeth Alker describes the piece as "a reimagining of the famous folk song The Water of the Tyne" and highlighted how BISHI created the work especially for The Glasshouse, blending "industrial field recordings, Hindustani ragas and choral singing" inspired by our building and its position on the banks of the River Tyne.
The track featured on Unclassified is the first movement of BISHI's three-part installation, which you can experience for free here at The Glasshouse.
Listen here on BBC Sounds (track 7) and then come and discover the full work for yourself.
