Volunteer Wildlife Drivers Urgently Needed!

Local wildlife rescues are urgently looking for more volunteer drivers to help transport injured and orphaned wildlife to local rescue centres.
At the moment, it's a small group of volunteers responding to transport requests, and they desperately need more people who are genuinely able and willing to help. All of us at Blondes volunteer in this role and it is so, so rewarding, but we urgently need more people.

The role is really simple. Join the WhatsApp group, and when a transport is needed, a message is posted. If you're available, you respond, and you'll be given all the details of where to collect the animal from and exactly where it needs to go.

Your role is simply to transport the animal safely from A to B – nothing more.

The only essential requirement is that you live in the Hull and East Riding area, have a car and are able to drive.

Please only join if you're genuinely interested in being an active volunteer and helping when you're available.

Our friends over at Sunflower Hen Sanctuary need our help!
What these guys do is absolutely incredible! Major love to them! 🐓 ❤️

🚨URGENT HELP NEEDED🚨

Please help us we desperately need help for Priya
💔😢🐓🤞🏻

We are currently on the way home from a vet appointment with Priya at Southwell Poultry Services
You may have seen on a previous post she has been having problems with her eye and last week had a large amount of cyst removed. Unfortunately this was only a small portion and after seeing an eye specialist today we have learnt this is behind her eye socket and if it is not surgically removed under anaesthetic her only other option is to be put to sleep as it will continue to grow into her little skull 😢

Priya is otherwise in good health and has taken this all in her stride even with all she’s going through she’s the sweetest girl 💕

She is booked in for her operation next Friday which we are really anxious for as with any operation there are risks but at this point we really have no other choice.

After today’s visits our credit at the vets is now gone (and we possibly have a bill to pay too)

The estimate for the operation is £400 which we need to raise to give her the chance she truly deserves.

Over the past couple of months she has had multiple tests to rule out number of illnesses that may present this way and all are negative.

We still have other poorly hens to pay for so this amount is going to put a strain on us financially.

Please if you can help in any way we would be so grateful.
