After l
eaving school, Claire studied catering and gained her qualification in food and beverage, granting her opportunities to work in several food establishments where she furthered her skills. This however, does not take away from her interest for food and whilst not formally qualified Andrea, has a passion for baking and can often been seen making elaborate cakes for family birthdays. Both ladies have achieved their level 2 in food hygiene. In the coming years, Claire would retrain in child development to better fit around her family and joined Andrea working at the local school. As mentioned, the pair were already friends, having grown up in the same small village of Milwich. And their rekindled partnership in childcare further cemented this friendship. It started with a silly comment one day while role playing with the children, that then turned into a crazy idea. So with a business plan and family support, we set about looking for a catering trailer and, with the help of Hammonds Autos, 2 years later Hot Stuff Catering was born. Starting slow with weekends and school holiday events alongside their childcare jobs, we began gaining some momentum. We soon realised the potential the business had and loved being out and about in our ‘little van’. And after taking the decision to pursuer the venture full time, the rest is history. Our ethos is based on personal service, tailor made to suit each event and client. We aim to provide a wide range, varied and flexible menu, from grazing boards to bacon butties. We can cater for you in your own home, office or venue, or bring along our catering trailer for outdoor events like village fetes, festivals etc. But where ever we go personal service is our priority.
