Reusable Carrier Bags Needed! 🛍️

Cotgrave Community Kitchen is running very short of bags for life and reusable carrier bags.

If you have any spare bags at home that you no longer need, we would be incredibly grateful for any donations. We use them every week to pack food for local individuals and families who access our social supermarket.

Every bag donated helps us continue supporting over 200 people each week while also reducing waste.

If you can help, please drop any bags off at the Cotgrave Futures Building or bring them along to one of our sessions.

We’re Looking for Volunteers!

Cotgrave Community Kitchen is looking to onboard a few new pair of hands to help set up our social supermarket on Thursdays and Saturdays.

This would be helping to set up from around 8-9:30AM and/or closing down from 12-1PM.

Availability can be flexible! Whether it be fitting around your schedule, or covering fellow volunteers when unavailable, we would be grateful for any help offered.

Our social supermarket supports 200 individuals every week, and by volunteering you would be helping to reduce food waste, serving the local community, and helping us to keep this valuable service running.

Also Wednesday mornings 8.30-11.30 for our Fareshare Food delivery.

🌿🦒 A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along to the Safari Sale today and visited us at Cotgrave Community Kitchen! 🦓🌿

We were absolutely delighted to welcome over 85 customers through our doors today — what an amazing show of community support! 💚

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our safari stall, enjoyed some free soup and a roll, had a browse for treasures, and shopped in our social supermarket. Every visit, every donation, and every bit of support really does help keep us going.

The more people who know about us and use our services, the more we’re able to continue supporting our local community, reducing food waste, and making sure good food goes to good use instead of landfill.

We truly appreciate every single one of you. 🖤💛💚

And thank you to Cotgrave Town Council for organising the Safari Sale and bringing the community together for such a lovely day! 🦒
