What an amazing derby day we had here at The Royal!
I just want to thank my lovely customers for just being the best bunch, Wolves and Albion supporters, and we all had a laugh! Another massive thank you to my awesome staff! You really did work your asses off. Inside and out was heaving, and you still managed to serve without breaking a sweat 🤣

The day is finally here where the wolves play the baggies!!! And what a local derby it’s gonna be!!!! We want this day to have amazing atmosphere, so there are some stipulations I’d like to add…

🔥 PICK A MINUTE TO WIN IT 🔥
Yes it’s back. Rules are come in, buy a drink, choose a max of 3 options of goal time. No money involved - yes I know - IT’S FREE!!!! If a goal is scored at the time you chose - CASH IT IN FOR A FREE DRINK. Because I’m nice like that. The clause is you must be in watching the match to receive your free drink. If not, unlucky for you! So get your ass in and play the game - WHO DOESN’T WANT A FREEBE!??? 🥂

⚽️ RESERVATIONS ⚽️
We’ve been asked the question of reserving tables….unfortunately we can’t - so this will be a first come first serve basis.

⚽️ CHILDREN ⚽️
Children are welcome, but please can we make sure they are sat with parents/guardians and are not running around. This is for their safety first and foremost. If not, unfortunately you will be asked to leave - it will be busy and we don’t want little heads getting bumped on tables or running into customers carrying a million pints at once to their table‼️

⚽️ FANS ⚽️
Now we have a mix of both Wolves and Baggies fans, so keep the bants civil please. If we feel you are getting too heated, you will be told to leave the pub. If it escalates, I will then make a decision whether to allow you back in at all. We hope you show the same respect to us all as we do you and not screw this day up for everyone else. 😇

⚽️ ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION ⚽️
Who doesn’t love a good p**s up?!? But please note we do have the right to refuse service if we feel you’ve had too much. Don’t argue mate, because you won’t get anywhere with it. Take it on the chin, go home and chill! 🍻

⚽️ FOOD ⚽️
You are more than welcome to bring food into the pub if you’re hungry. I will however be putting complimentary pizzas on the bar at the end of the match - so feel free to have some scran 🍕

As a community pub, we pride ourselves on being part of fundraising. Green Park School was one of those, where as a collective over the Sunday darts league, we raised an excellent £2,200 - where we received the trophy for the highest amount raised from The Royal 🤍

Due to Mother Nature completely screwing us over, I have made the decision to POSTPONE this event. I know I know, typical bank holiday British weather. As fun as it is dancing in the rain…..I will be moving the weekend event to a date in September where we are told a mini heatwave is coming.

So keep your eyes peeled as we are to go ahead with plans, just not confirmed on a date yet.

Thank you to everyone who joined us during the World Cup and cheering on our boys. Unfortunately it wasn’t the result we wanted….but boy did you lot bring the atmosphere. A massive thank you to my staff too, who worked their asses off to keep everything flowing and made sure everyone was having a safe and amazing time.

We will still show the England match tomorrow, but we are bringing back our resident dj Andy for our usual Saturday night party with Kareoke from 8:30pm
