He’s back…if you haven’t seen this show yet, you really have missed out.

The Horse & Jockey Coventry

🍷 **FIVE WINES, FIVE BITES… AND A LITTLE BIT OF EDUCATION!**

We're getting sophisticated at The Horse & Jockey. Well, we're giving it a go anyway!

**Thursday 19th November | 7:30pm**

Join us for an evening of w**e tasting with a difference.

We've got 5 lovely w**es lined up for you, each paired with a delicious little bite from our kitchen, carefully chosen to bring out the flavours of the w**e.

Ever wondered why people swirl their w**e, stick their nose in the glass and start talking about berries, oak and all sorts?

Well, now's your chance to find out!

Learn how to properly taste w**e, discover flavours you never knew were there and see just how much the right food can change what you're tasting.

No w**e snobbery, no need to know your Merlot from your Malbec. Just good w**e, gorgeous food and probably a few people pretending they can detect hints of blackberries!

And remember, it's not drinking on a school night if it's educational.

**£34.95 per person – includes 5 w**es and 5 matching food pairings.**

Booking essential, so grab your favourite w**e-loving partner in crime and come and join us.

After all, it's research, isn't it?

Weather looking absolutely crap today…

Which feels like a very good excuse to forget cooking and come and let us sort dinner instead.

Charcoal grill fired up, proper Mediterranean comfort food, warm bread, loaded plates and something cold at the bar while the weather does its worst outside.

Much better than staring out the window wondering what to make for tea.

See you at the H&J.

After an incredible weekend with our Soul Night and Paint & Sip, we’ve been thinking…

What else do you lot want us to put on at the H&J?

Our 2027 diary is already filling up nicely, but we’d love a few ideas from the people who actually come through the door.

Is there something you’d love to see here? A certain band, tribute night, comedy, another themed night, quiz night… anything really.

Drop your ideas below. If enough of you shout for the same thing, we might just have to make it happen.

Another incredible weekend of music at the H&J… and October is only just getting started.

If you thought this weekend was good, have a look at what else we’ve got lined up for the rest of the month 👀

More live music Under Canvas, more big nights and plenty more reasons to spend your weekends with us.

October at the H&J is looking VERY good.

And if you’ve still not had a night Under Canvas yet… where have you been?

04/10/2026

We’re looking for friendly and reliable weekend waiting staff to join the H&J team.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re:

• Over 18
• Available to work weekends
• Genuinely looking for regular work
• Friendly, dependable and happy to get stuck in when we’re busy

Previous experience is always welcome, but a positive attitude and reliability are just as important to us.

To apply, please email your CV to [email protected]
Previous applicants need not reapply at this time.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Been a full on weekend so far… so Sunday can be the easy one.

No roast. No gravy. No mountain of washing up.

Just good food, cold drinks and Abi O’Meara with us from 4pm.

Inside or out, grab a table, get comfy and let us sort Sunday for you.

That’ll do nicely.

Have you recovered from last night yet?

Soul night — that’s one we definitely have to book again!…. Round two anyone?

Tonight Undercover Groove are live Under Canvas from 6pm.

Great live music, the grill going, drinks flowing and that brilliant Under Canvas atmosphere we’ve quickly become known for.

03/10/2026

Well Soul Night was another winner…

What a night. Under Canvas was absolutely buzzing, every table full and plenty of dancing going on.

And after that turnout, we’re making Soul Night a monthly feature.

But we’re not done with this weekend yet…

Tonight Undercover Groove are with us from 6pm, so if you’ve still not done a Saturday evening Under Canvas, this might be the one.

Good food, a few drinks, live music and another cracking Saturday at the H&J.
