Well, today is the last day for Year 6 leavers. We have watched you all being carried by your parents for ice cream when you didn't even know what ice cream was. I've seen you all in your shiny new school uniforms when you started school, showing me your stickers for good manners and doing well in school, and showing me what you made in school, the pictures you have drawn. I've witnessed you all struggling to see over my countertop to now ordering your own ice cream and saying hello and asking how I'm doing.

To the lovely parents who always came to support my little business and always had a chat and kept me in the loop: you make my job so enjoyable with many laughs and good old banter,

We have gotten older, a little grayer, but I've always been there like a piece of furniture. I've been parked up, seeing you all grow into fantastic little people. I'll remember you all, even if you forget me. I'll always be in the same place, same time 🤞

I hope I'll see you all again in your new secondary schools! Good luck with your futures; you're all incredible individuals. 🍦
