A lovely, evening at quiet reading club tonight. We had some new faces joining us and it was a pleasure to welcome you
Then followed by our very first Together Book Club — and we’ve chosen our October read!
📖 Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton
A gripping 320-page thriller set in rural Somerset during a snowstorm, where a school suddenly finds itself under siege.
Pupils and teachers barricade themselves into classrooms, the library, the theatre. The headmaster lies wounded in the library, unable to help his trapped students and staff. Outside, a police psychiatrist must identify the gunmen, while parents gather desperate for news.
In three intense hours, all must find the courage to stand up to evil and save the people they love.
Now we've just got to get the reading part done 😂

I just want to stress there is absolutely no pressure to be part of book club every month, if the chosen book isn't for you that's fine.
If you did get the book but didn’t get to the end? Come anyway.
Only read a few chapters? Come anyway.
Finished it and absolutely hated it? Definitely come anyway 😂
This isn’t homework and there are no tests. It’s simply an excuse to read a little more, meet people and have a good chat about books.
At next month’s Book Club, we’ll also choose our November book together, so everyone gets a say in what we read next.
